If you have spent any time in an alliance chat, you have seen someone flex their prestige number. It looks like a stat, it feels like a stat, but it does not work like the Power Rating you see on your champion cards. Prestige is its own system, and it quietly controls how tough your Alliance Quest map feels, how strong your Alliance War opponents are, and even how good the loot in your milestone rewards can be.
This guide breaks down what MCOC prestige actually is, how it is calculated, and shares an updated mcoc prestige list for the top 7 star champions at Rank 5. You will also find a free mcoc prestige calculator you can use to check any champion at any rank and signature level, in seconds.
What Is Prestige In MCOC?
Prestige is the average base Hero Rating of your 5 strongest champions. Kabam uses this number behind the scenes to decide how difficult your Alliance Quest and Alliance War maps will be. A higher prestige means tougher AI opponents, but it also means bigger point payouts and better milestone rewards for your alliance.
There are two versions of this number that summoners talk about.
Individual Prestige
This is your personal number. It is the average Hero Rating of your top 5 champions by rating, not by rank or star level. A maxed out 6 star can easily beat a barely ranked 7 star here, so it pays to actually check the numbers instead of guessing.
Alliance Prestige
This is the average of every member's Individual Prestige, added up across the whole alliance. It decides how hard your AQ map hits and how strong your AW defenders and attackers face off against. If a high prestige player leaves the alliance, the whole alliance's prestige drops, and the next map or war can suddenly feel easier or harder depending on who joined or left.
How Is MCOC Prestige Calculated?
Prestige is built from your champion's base Hero Rating, and three things move that number.
- Rank. A higher rank means a bigger Power Rating, which directly increases prestige.
- Rarity and star level. A 7 star champion at a similar rank almost always has more prestige than a 6 star or 5 star version.
- Signature Level. Pushing a champion's signature ability from level 0 to level 200 steadily raises the Hero Rating, and in turn, the prestige.
One thing trips up a lot of players. Mastery points do not count toward prestige. Your in game Power Rating can look inflated once you load up masteries, but the game only uses your champion's base rating, before mastery bonuses, to work out prestige. If your PI in the champion select screen looks higher than what your prestige suggests, this is why.
Why Prestige Matters In MCOC
Prestige is not just a bragging number for your alliance banner. It has a real, direct effect on your gameplay.
- Alliance Quest difficulty. Higher alliance prestige scales up the AI difficulty on the map, but also scales up the Battlegroup point rewards and milestone rewards.
- Alliance War matchmaking. Alliance prestige plays a role in who your alliance gets matched against for war, so keeping your roster's top champions strong matters for finding fair fights.
- Alliance recruitment. Most active alliances ask for a minimum individual prestige before letting you join, since it is the fastest way for them to judge if your roster fits their AQ and AW needs.

| 25 | M'Baku | 32,280 | 42,100 | 46,010 |
| 26 | Iron Man | 34,070 | 41,880 | 46,010 |
| 27 | The Destroyer | 34,310 | 41,830 | 45,990 |
| 28 | Kindred | 33,870 | 41,790 | 45,980 |
| 29 | White Tiger | 33,050 | 41,960 | 45,960 |
| 30 | Arcade | 30,330 | 42,290 | 45,960 |
A few patterns stand out from this mcoc prestige chart. High Evolutionary tops the list once fully signature levelled, but Black Tarantula and Hobgoblin (Phil Urich) actually gain the most prestige between Sig 0 and Sig 200, which means they are worth prioritizing for signature stones if your copy is already ranked up. Notice how tightly packed the field is too, under 1,200 prestige separates rank 1 from rank 30 at Sig 200, so champion choice matters less than most summoners think once you are ranking meta picks.
What Are Stat Focus And Relics, And Do They Affect Prestige?
Every 7 star champion also has a Stat Focus, essentially the attack and defense role the champion is built around, and a set of Relics that pair well with them. These do not change your prestige number directly, since prestige is based on base Hero Rating alone. But they matter for a different reason. Stat Focus tells you where a champion's raw stats are weighted, which helps you judge how strong that champion will actually feel in a fight, separate from the prestige number on paper. Relic pairings tell you which gear will squeeze the most performance out of that same roster slot. In short, prestige tells you how big a champion looks on paper, Stat Focus and Relics tell you how that champion actually plays.
MCOC Prestige Calculator: Check Any Champion Instantly
Typing all this out by hand for your own roster gets old fast, especially once you start comparing multiple champions across ranks and signature levels. This is where a dedicated MCOC prestige calculator saves a lot of time.
The MCOCHUB Prestige tool is a free, live database that covers every champion in the game. Here is how it works.
- Filter by tier. Pick 7A2, 7A1, 7 star, 6 star, 5 star, 4 star, 3 star, or 2 star to match your roster.
- Filter by rank. Choose Rank 1 through Rank 6 to see the exact prestige for that rank.
- See every signature step. The table lays out prestige at every 20 point signature interval, from Sig 0 all the way to Sig 200, so you know exactly what pushing sig stones into a champion is worth.
- Stat Focus and Relics at a glance. Each champion row also shows its Stat Focus icons and best Relic pairings, so you get the full picture in one screen instead of jumping between multiple tabs.
- A separate calculator mode. There is also a dedicated prestige calculator if you just want to punch in a champion, rank and signature level and get a straight answer.
No signup, no login, and it updates as new champions release, so you are never stuck checking outdated numbers.

How To Increase Your Prestige Fast
- Rank up your strongest champions first. Since only your top 5 champions count, spend resources on champions that are already near the top of your roster rather than spreading thin.
- Push signature levels on your best champions. Sig stones on a top 5 champion move your prestige more than ranking up a champion that will not crack your top 5 anyway.
- Prioritize 7 star champions over 6 star duplicates. A ranked 7 star will usually out prestige an equally ranked 6 star, so save resources for your 7 star roster once you have the mastery and skill to use them.
- Check before you commit. Use a prestige calculator before spending resources, so you know a rank up or sig push will actually move your top 5 average, and is not wasted on a champion outside your top 5.
FAQs About MCOC Prestige
What is a good prestige in MCOC in 2026?
It depends on your account age and how deep into 7 star content you are, but most active mid to late game alliances look for individual prestige in the 30,000 to 40,000 range, with top tier alliances often above 45,000.
Does mastery setup affect prestige?
No. Prestige is based only on your champion's base Hero Rating. Any Power Rating boost you see from mastery points in the champion select screen is not counted.
Do relics affect prestige?
No, relics do not change your prestige number. They affect your champion's in battle performance, not the base Hero Rating used for prestige.
Why did my alliance's prestige suddenly change?
Alliance prestige is the average of every member's individual prestige, so a member joining or leaving, or a member ranking up or losing a top champion, will shift the number immediately.
Is 7 star prestige always higher than 6 star?
At the same rank, yes, a 7 star champion generally has a higher base prestige than its 6 star version. But a highly ranked and signature levelled 6 star can still beat a barely ranked 7 star, so rank and sig level matter more than star rarity alone.
Final Thoughts
Prestige looks intimidating at first, but once you know it is just the average Hero Rating of your top 5 champions, it becomes a lot easier to plan around. Use the mcoc prestige list above to see where the top 7 star champions currently stand, and keep the MCOCHUB prestige calculator bookmarked so you can check your own roster before every rank up or signature stone crystal opening.
