Every Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) player wants to know which champions are worth the resources. This MCOC tier list covers Attack and Defense rankings for all six classes, from the All Time Best Tier, Beyond God Tier, God Tier and Demi God Tier to the Mid Tier, Bottom Tier and Trash Tier. Use it to decide which champions to rank up, awaken or give signature stones.

S+ (All time Best) → Top picks, must have
S (Beyond God) → Excellent champions
A (God Tier) → Very strong, highly recommended
B (Demi God) → Good, worth ranking up
C (Mid Tier) → Average, use only if needed
D (Bottom) → Avoid ranking up
E (Trash) → Not recommended
This list is updated every month.
Please Note
I have not tested any Deathless or Stellar-forged champions, which is why they are not included in the tier list below.

What to Avoid
Bottom Tier and Trash Tier: avoid ranking them up. They usually need a rework or buff from Kabam.
Attack and Defense differ: check both lists before you spend resources.
Alliance War diversity: some alliances rank up Bottom or Mid tier champs on purpose to manage diversity points, so always rank up based on what your alliance needs.
Here is how I decide where a champion lands. For attackers, I look at utility (immunities, power control and ability accuracy), damage and sustainability. For defenders, I look at what actually holds a node in Alliance War, such as resistances, evade, auto-block, unstoppable and damage over time debuffs.
The list covers all six classes with separate Attack and Defense rankings, and it is updated every month, so bookmark this page and check back.

FAQs About MCOC Tier List
What is a tier list in Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC)?
An MCOC tier list ranks every champion from best to worst based on stats, abilities and synergies. Top tier champions (the MCOC best champs) can clear 70 to 80% of game content easily and finish fights fast in Alliance War, Story Quests, Event Quests, Special Quests and Variants. Trash tier champions (also called meme tier) struggle to clear content because they lack good damage, utility or sustainability.
Kabam keeps buffing weaker champions to make them playable again. Champions that recently got a balance buff include: Magneto (Both), Venom, Spider-Gwen, She-Hulk, Luke Cage, Red Hulk, Carnage, Punisher 2099, Falcon, Gambit, Ultron, Diablo, Mole Man, Kingpin, Venompool, Angela, Nebula, Thor Ragnarok, Crossbones, Odin, Bishop, Hawkeye, Spider-Man (MM), King Groot, Black Panther, Joe Fixit, Vulture, HTD, The Hood, Masacre, Mr. Fantastic, Karnak, War Machine, Terrax, Ebony Maw, Ronin, Civil Warrior, Guillotine, Yellow Jacket, Nova, Psycho-Man, Gamora, Mordo, Storm, Yondu, Deadpool X-Force, Thor (Jane Foster), Juggernaut, Ant-Man, Rocket Raccoon, Iron Man (IW), Hulk, Spider-Man (Classic), Iceman, Wiccan, Gorr, Shuri, Attuma, Mantis, Viv Vision, Shocker, Sandman, and many more.
What is the offense (attack) tier list in MCOC?
The offense tier list ranks the best attacker champions for your game progress. Champions are placed in tiers based on three things: utility (immunities, power control and ability accuracy), damage (hard hitters) and sustainability (regeneration and perfect block).
What is the defense tier list in MCOC?
The defense tier list ranks the best defender champions for Alliance War. Champions are rated on defensive abilities such as crit and damage resistance, physical and energy resistance, evade, auto-block, unblockable hits, unstoppable, miss attacks, power gain and damage over time debuffs. These champions are placed as defenders in Alliance War, and without strong defenders your alliance cannot progress.
This MCOC tier list is made for every type of player, but it helps new players the most, especially those who started in the last 1 to 3 months and do not yet know the MCOC best champs for attack and defense. It also helps returning players who took a break for 2 to 3 years and missed the newer champions. The MCOC GUIDE BLOG tier list guides you on which champions to rank up, awaken or invest signature stones in.
Which tier should I avoid in MCOC?
Avoid ranking up champions from the Bottom Tier and Trash Tier, since they usually need a rework or buff from Kabam. Check the attack list and the defense list first and skip the weak champions based on your need.
If you play Alliance War, you can still rank up Mid Tier and lower tier champions for diversity points. The Alliance War Defender Diversity Tool helps you plan it.
Can you play Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC) on a PC or laptop?
Yes. MCOC is officially available on Android, iOS and PC.
Do not use any third-party tool or emulator that is not official. It can get your account temporarily or permanently banned under Kabam's policy.
Who created the first MCOC tier list?
Seatin: Seatin is the most popular MCOC YouTuber, and his channel name is Seatin Man of Legends. He is famous for the Seatin Tier List, new champion gameplay and crystal openings on YouTube.
Lagacy: Lagacy is also a very popular MCOC YouTuber and part of the MCOC Content Creator Team. He is also the first New York Comic-Con contest winner.
Is the MCOC GUIDE BLOG copying Vega's, Lagacy's, or Seatin's tier list?
No, absolutely not. The MCOC GUIDE BLOG tier list is not copied from Vega, Lagacy or Seatin. It is my own personal opinion based on 10+ years of real gameplay experience. CaptainRaghu (in-game ID).
Final Thoughts on the MCOC Tier List October 2026
The top of this MCOC tier list, the Beyond God Tier and God Tier champions, are the best champs in the game right now. Whether you need strong attackers for offense or solid defenders for Alliance War and Battlegrounds, these champions will help you make fast progress. They are also a great pick for your Best Champions Ranked 2026 plans.

Hey I feel you have missed some champions in defense list like captain America iw. And also can u do a seatin style spreadsheet? Like very detailed spreadsheets, that would be of a great help, especially for the defence tier list. Other than that your blog is a perfect guide for a mcoc player.

Okay, I think this is where I can comment about the tier list... First of all, this page has been invaluable to me as I am now able to focus my resources on leveling up those champions with more potential. So thank you for making it and taking the time to update it, It must require lots of time and effort.
But I had an important question for you. You are labeling a lot of these characters as doing especially well if awakened or with their synergies etc. If you label a character as god tier and also note that they have awesome signature abilities that should be awakened, for instance, would such a character still be god-tier in your estimation even if not awakened? Or would they be of a lower tier, and not god-tier, until their sig ability is awakened? Likewise with synergy, would characters with an S still be in that same tier even if you've none of the other characters with which to activate their synergies?

I say this is perfect even the chamions to place as mini boss for war there all annoying to fight thx for the list and i already got 5* nick fury up to r5 and awaykend very fun to play

Here is your Answer - Keep Proxima Midnight in your team as a synergy partner. With this, Nebula will start the fight with 10 Amp Charges. This will help you in WAR to finish fight quickly. Make sure her 20 Amp Charges are ready then Parry + SP2 = 💥🔥

Very informative list, I agree with a good portion, only thing I see that is way off to myself and many others I've spoken with is Kushala is beyond God on attack easily

Hey Buddy, Thanks for the feedback. In this MCoC Tier List Article * (Star) denotes Signature And Numbers Denotes Level. For 4 star champions maximum sig level is 99 and for 5/6/7 star champions maximum sig level is 200.

1. If Red Hulk in your Team - Heavy Attacks inflict an Incinerate that deals damage equal to that Heavy Attack’s damage over 2 second(s).
2. If Masacre in your Team - Debuffs last 1 second(s) longer. (Parry - Long stun duraion. Good on Limber node)

ReplyDeleteHey Buddy, Thanks for the feedback. In this MCoC Tier List Article * (Star) denotes Signature And Numbers Denotes Level. For 4 star champions maximum sig level is 99 and for 5/6/7 star champions maximum sig level is 200.
